 Five Rivers Adult Book Club

Meets once a month on the 3rd Tuesday at 5 pm.

We choose a different book selection each month which comes from the West Virginia Library Commission. Each member picks up their copy and reads the book during the month and then we gather on the 3rd Tuesday of the month and discuss the book together. It's a great way to meet new people and also get introduced to new books that you may not choose to read on your own. Come join in, we would love to have you.

Summer Reading Program - (ages 3 through 5th grade)

This program that has a new theme each year and is open for ages 3 through 5th grade.

We plan a new story, game, craft and snack each week geared toward the event for that week. Reading logs are handed out for each child to fill out. At the end of the reading program prizes are given out to the top 3 readers and every child is given a goody bag.  We have a party with lots snacks, prizes and fun.

We encourage children to participate in the summer reading program and visit the library often. We feel this better prepares them for school in the fall as a result of their participation.

Her passion surrounding a woman’s right to choose even led her to become a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, fighting to enact legislation for the cause she so deeply believed in.
